Napoleon Hill- Lesson 7: Positive Mental Attitude

A positive mental attitude is the right, honest, constructive thought, action, or reaction to any person, situation, or set of circumstance that does not violate the laws of God or the right of one’s fellowman.

How do you move your attitude and outlook to the positive side?

  1. Stop being so critical of yourself. –The worst lies we tell are the lies we tell ourselves. It can be scary to let go of these lies, because they are so comfortable and FEEL like the truth.
  2. Don’t be critical of others. – I recently heard a psychologist say that if you tell some one that they can not accomplish a task they have to hear that can do it 13 times to overcome that negative information.
  3. Change your language. –The words you say aloud (and in your head) affect your physiology.  Look for ways to use positive phrases whenever you get the opportunity.

Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Positive mental attitude is the right mental attitude in all circumstances. Success attracts more success while failure attracts more failure.
